The largest document archive for Rolls-Royce and Bentley motor cars
The Hunt House Archive is home to the Construction & Test records for every Rolls-Royce motor car produced between 1904-2002, and every Bentley motor car from 1931-2002.
As well as the construction & test records (millions of sheets of paper and cards), the archive also houses some 500,000 engineering drawings.
In addition, there are several thousand photographic negatives, slides and prints. These embrace the whole spectrum of Rolls-Royce and post-1931 Bentley manufacture, service and general history.
Coachbuilders' information is less abundant but a number of sketches and records from various companies is available.
The Club has an ongoing programme of digitising archive material. This is a mammoth task, which is extremely time consuming, and many years of work lie ahead.
To date, digitisation of the Pre-1965 Construction Records, the Pre-war Engineering Drawings, (blueprints), the Lists of Parts and the 'Depot Sheets' is complete, and work is now proceeding with the Post-war Drawings.
