This privacy policy sets out how R.R.E.C. Limited ("we" or "us" or the "Club") collects, uses and protects any personal data that you give us. In accordance with the data protection laws, it also sets out the legal basis on which such personal data is processed and details of your rights.
We are committed to ensuring that your personal data is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain data by which you can be identified such data will only be used in accordance with this privacy policy.

PRIVACY POLICY
Principal Activity…
The principal activity of the R.R.E.C. Limited (The Club) is that of a motor club and in particular to encourage and promote the ownership, restoration and subsequent good keeping of Rolls-Royce and post 1931 Bentley cars within a friendly association of members.
Future Developments…
The Club will continue its policy for furthering the interest of and services to its Members, particularly in connection with the history and heritage associated with Rolls-Royce and Bentley and continue to maintain and develop its close links with the Sir Henry Royce Memorial Foundation (SHRMF).
How we collect and use your information…
In order to carry out our services, we require to hold the names and addresses of our Members (and/or partners or family members where provided) including contact information such as telephone numbers, email addresses and, for historic purposes, the details of Rolls-Royce and Bentley qualifying cars owned by each Member.
Personal Information is retained for as long as an individual is a Member of The Club and is deleted when the Member leaves. Historic vehicle information, photographs and records of trophy winners will remain within The Club.
Members’ personal information is only required for the legitimate purpose and normal operation of The Club and is not shared with any unconnected person or organisation.
The Club membership information is available within The Club to all Club Members and to the Sections and Registers of The Club. If a Member does not want any specific personal information to be made available to Members, we will honour that request. Unless a Member has requested otherwise, Members’ personal information is used for the purposes of sending out postal and email correspondence and shared with other Members, Sections and Registers for the purpose of organising tours and events.
How we keep your information secure…
In addition to the procedures mentioned above, The Club ensures that all personal information supplied is held securely, in accordance with the Information Protection Act 2018 and UK-GDPR Regulations 2021 hereinafter referred to as the GDPR.
The Club Website…
All the information Members give us is protected by a secure server. SSL (Secure Socket Layer) is the standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a web server and a browser. This link ensures that all information passed between the web server and browsers remain private and integral. Whilst we do our best to ensure security, information transmission over the internet is inherently insecure, we cannot therefore guarantee the security of information sent over the internet.
Sharing of personal information…
No personal information is shared with anyone outside of The Club’s normal scope of operation or business and we do not share personal information with third parties unless as required for the performance of organising tours or events. Individual Members are advised not to share any personal information relating to The Club with anyone who is not a member of The Club. In all cases, any use of your personal information processed by The Club will comply with this policy and with information protection legislation.
We also reserve the right to use or disclose any information as needed to satisfy any law, regulation or legal request, to protect the integrity of our website, or to co-operate in any law enforcement or regulatory investigation. Save for this, we do not sell, transfer or disclose personal information we have collected from you to third parties outside of The Club, except as may be for in the following specific circumstances:
(a) From time to time, the production and distribution of Club leaflets, magazines, books or periodicals using a specialist print finisher and/or distribution agency.
(b) Maintenance and/or creation of websites using a selected agency.
(c) Distribution of emails and newsletters using an external email service.
(d) As an Insurance Introducer Appointed Representative.
We may also transfer the information that we collect from you to a destination outside the United Kingdom e.g. when we send out a newsletter and/or magazine. By submitting your personal information to us, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will ensure that any transfer will be within the conditions of GDPR and that adequate safeguards are in place.

The Club does not intentionally or knowingly process personal information from individuals under the age of 16.

The Club’s website does not use Cookies to track your purchasing habits or to target adverts or marketing towards you.

We will use the information you have given us in relation to your home or business address, telephone number or email, for purposes of communication and/or promotions and to contact you.

How long we keep your information…
The Club will retain name, address, telephone number and/or email address for no longer than is necessary. In order to reduce the risk of it becoming inaccurate, out of date or irrelevant, we will securely delete any information that is no longer required and may from time to time contact you to update and/or confirm your information.

From time to time, it may be necessary for us to change this Privacy Policy, so we suggest that you check here periodically. Any changes will not be retrospectively applied and will not alter how we handle previously collected information.
