Organisational Announcement
March, 12th 2026Dear Members,
David Robinson joined us as Interim General Manager on a consultancy contract which commenced on 1st April 2025. Anyone who has met or communicated with David will attest to the fact that he has undertaken his duties with good nature, humour and an absolute commitment to caring for the members of the RREC.
In this interim role he has overseen a considerable period of change in the RREC, which has taken long hours, flexibility and the need to draw on his considerable skills and expertise. David has never complained about his workload; indeed, he has always expressed his enjoyment for the many and varied tasks he has undertaken. He has overseen the staff team at our Pury Hill offices with sensitivity and care. As a Club, we deeply appreciate all that he has achieved.
David has given notice in accordance with his contract and his last working day will be 31st March 2026. He will also be stepping down as Company Secretary. I am sure members will join me in wishing David Robinson every good wish for the future and assure him that there will be a permanent place for him in the RREC. We would love to see his smiling face and cheerful demeanour at future RREC events, should he wish to join us.
